£100,000 investment from Macclesfield Town Council in two local play areas to be unveiled

Macclesfield Town Council’s recent £100,000 investment in two local play areas is all set to be revealed with two opening ceremonies that members of the public are welcome to come along to.

Brand new play areas on High Street in Macclesfield Central and Hall Grove in Tytherington will be officially opened by the Mayor of Macclesfield, Cllr Adam Schofield.

The openings will both take place on Wednesday 10th October with High Street at 10am and Hall Grove at 2pm. Members of the community are invited to come along with their children for a fun packed couple of hours enjoying the new play equipment as well as face painting and snack boxes.

Helena Gowler, Community Engagement Officer for Macclesfield Town Council said

‘Macclesfield Town Council is really excited to show the community the new play areas. High Street and Hall Grove are part of what will be an ongoing project to refresh the town’s play areas. We hope that families can enjoy the new equipment, encouraging outdoor play all year round’.
