Whether it is a local event for adults or children, providing support for people who might otherwise feel excluded or you simply have an idea to try which may grow into something bigger, take a look at our community grants on offer.
Macclesfield Community Grants
The town council recognises the value and importance of community groups and activities within the town.
Whether it is a local event for adults or children, providing support for people who might otherwise feel excluded or putting on a festival such as Barnaby, we want to help wherever we can.
We now have three levels of grant. Micro grants are up to £100 and are for small start up ideas for one of projects or for the start of a longer term idea. Small grants are up to £250 and large grants up to £2,000.
Grant applications are considered at the next appropriate and available Finance Committee as scheduled and decisions are made according to the council’s scheme of delegation.
If you would like to apply for a community grant but would like to have a chat about it first, please contact Community and Events Manager Helena Gowler on 07593 535 784 or by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org
Micro grant applications can be considered at any time. Small and large grant applications are considered at Finance Committee meetings. Applications must be with us at least one month before the nearest meeting to be considered. Upcoming meeting dates are below:
22nd November 2021
7th March 2022
9th May 2022
