Britain In Bloom Flower display

Britain In Bloom

Macclesfield Town Council organises the floral displays in the town, with particular focus on the gateway highways to the town centre and the town centre itself (these are the busiest areas). We have over 100 lamp post-mounted baskets, around 24 3-tier planters, a dozen or so large square planters and around 75 barrier planters. As well as this, there are the roundabouts and some small planting beds around the town.

Over the past couple of years, we engaged more groups, businesses and shops who have done a wonderful job with their own displays! All groups are welcome to be in the portfolio we submit annually, and when the judge comes, we try to take them to as many places in the town as possible. If you want to get involved please contact us!

Everyone can be part of Macc in Bloom, whether it’s putting up a hanging basket, a window box, adding some planting to your front yard or even becoming a Macc in Bloom volunteer.

Volunteering for Macc in Bloom can take any shape or form you want, from being a practical helper with planting, weeding and tidying, taking on a small public rea near you, helping to prep for the Britain in Bloom judges or even helping with organisation of all the various Macc in Bloom projects. However you want to help, you can make a difference to the Macc in Bloom project and the town. Get in touch with us ([email protected]) if you would like to be involved in any way.
