Macclesfield Town Council - Town Hall

This first year of Macclesfield Town Council

Published on: Monday October 26, 2015

We’ve had a busy time in this first year of Macclesfield Town Council.

The first job was to establish the constitution of the council and its structure as well as identifying opportunities to help.

We have the new Community Grants Scheme which, among others, is funding the Barnaby Festival, Victoria Park. Arts in the town, Macclesfield Pioneering Women and funding equipment for other community groups.

The council has also been responding to Planning Applications through its Planning Committee and negotiating the transfer of assets and services from Cheshire East Council. We now have an ambitious budget for the provision of services in the town and will be investing in the floral and Christmas displays as well as CCTV. We are also working on a corporate strategy which will inform what the council looks to deliver for the town and how it can be achieved.

If you have any suggestions or need any support in your project, please contact us and we will be happy to talk to you.
