It’s back! Do Something Summer returns for 2025. Get ready for some free fun and adventure every Wednesday of the school summer holidays, starting Wednesday 23rd July!

Big plans so far include:

July 23rd   –  Circus Olympics with Lets Circus

July 30th   –  Kite Making with ArtSpace

6th August  – Mad Science!

13th August – TBC

20th August – Climbing and Caving Wall

27th August – Colour-Up

‘Creative Thursdays’

Thursdays 31^st July, 7^th Aug, 14^th Aug, 21^st Aug, 28^th Aug

When: 12:00 – 3.00 pm, drop-in, free

Where: Silk Museum classroom and garden

Join us to explore Macclesfield’s history and the museum collections through craft activities.  Each week will have a different theme and art style.  Everyone is encouraged to get involved – fun for all the family!

‘Story and Craft’

Friday mornings, 1^st Aug, 8^th Aug, 15^th Aug, 22^nd Aug, 29^th Aug

When: 10.30 – 11.30, drop-in, free

Where: Silk Museum

These sessions are for our younger visitors and their families.  Each week will start with a story and several songs before a ‘make and take’ craft.
