September 2017 – Town Council Blog Post – Cllr Matthew Sharrocks, Hurdsfield Ward

So, September is here, the summer has come to an end, and I hope we all had a fun one! As people go back to school after the summer break, I just want to take the time to ask everyone to be safe on the roads, especially as certain road works are yet to finish. Furthermore, I would just like say a big well done to all of those who took part in our annual half-marathon event on the 24th of this month, a town favourite that often attracts more and more competitors every year.

I would just like to take this opportunity to congratulate all those who achieved what they wished for in their A-Levels and GCSE’s over the summer, I know all of our schools in Macclesfield continue to do the town proud. As well as wishing a big good luck to the Lions RUFC, who’s season started again this month, I’m sure we can expect another successful year!
