Do Something Summer is BACK!
Every Wednesday of the school summer holidays Macclesfield Town Council will be hosting a different free event in the town centre from 11am – 3pm. From comics to climbing, there’s something for everyone is Macclesfield this summer!
Wednesday 24th July – ROCK CLIMBING!
Orbis Outdoor Adventure are bringing their mobile climbing walls to Macclesfield. No need to book, just turn up on the day and challenge yourself to have a go on their 24ft tower! This activity is best suited to aged 4+.
Wednesday 31st July – COLOUR UP!
The wildflowers are out in bloom but there’s still space for a bit more colour in Macc. Head to Market Place for an epic colouring in session like nothing you’ve seen before! All materials provided, suitable for all ages.
Wednesday 7th August – COMIC ART with Marc Jackson
Renowned cartoonist and Macc-Pow! founder Marc Jackson is on hand to help YOU find your inner comic artist – all materials will be provided. Sessions run 11am – 12pm, 12:30pm – 1:30pm and 2pm – 3pm.
Wednesday 14th August – ARTSPACE!
Nothing’s ever wasted at Macclesfield Community ArtSpace! They’ll be bringing their boxes of treasure for you to rummage through and turn into something magical!
Wednesday 21st August – ROBOGEDDON!
From the company behind the Robot Wars 2013-2016 Live Tour, Robogeddon is your chance to try your hand at robot combat! Flip your opponents bots and rack up the points against the clock in this specially built arena. Fun for all ages as players and spectators.
Wednesday 28th August – JUGGLING SCHOOL!
If it’s a life in the circus for you then you’ll need to learn the fundamentals! Lets Circus will be here to help you make your very own set of juggling balls and then teach you all the tricks to throw like a pro!

The Silk Museum, Park Lane – 25th July to 31st August – Every Thursday 10am-1pm, Every Saturday 1pm-4pm
Do Something…Crafty! Drop into the Silk Museum classroom for loads of fun and activity over the summer break. Each week will be something new from water-colours to weaving with a bit of printing and sgraffito along the way!

Summer Reading Challenge – Marvelous Makers!
Join the summer reading challenge at Macclesfield Library. Read six library books over the summer holidays, collecting stickers along the way AND receive a medal and certificate if you finish! There’s loads of fantastic books to choose from – it’s fun, it’s free, it’s local!
