Cllr James Barber-Chadwick is the Transport Champion for Macclesfield Town Council.#
As Macclesfield Town Council’s Champion for Transport, I lead our work to better connect our town in a sustainable way, I also Chair our Community Transport Committee, through which we have successfully delivered the nationally-recognised ‘Free Bus Days’ initiative – ensuring everyone in Macclesfield can travel to and from our free family events at no cost on the day. And finally, I represent the Council with key stakeholders to give us the strongest possible voice to deliver a people-centric public transport system that is reliable, affordable and accessible for all.
Cllr James Barber-Chadwick is the Youth Champion for Macclesfield Town Council.
As Youth Champion, I bring 4yrs of holding the role as Cheshire East’s first ever Champion for Young People to leading the Town Council’s work to ensure the voices of young people are amplified across the area. I represent the Council in forums and meetings relating to how best we can improve youth provision and the lives of our youngest residents, and am committed to listening, engaging and supporting Macclesfield’s youth.
